Hello Kitty was created by designer Ikuko Shimizu in 1974 and her original
appearance was later that year on a coin purse. Today her merchandise are
seen in 60 countries on earth and she is a huge phenomenon. This cute cats
real actual name is Kitty White, which is a fact that only the most
committed fans know. Most fans don't even realise that she is a twin
with a sister is called Mimmy. You can only tell them apart by the
color and placement of their bows. Kittys is red and rests on the
left hand side of her head. Mimmy likes a yellow bow and wears hers on
her right.
